Regarding the budget, former finance minister P. Chidambaram said: Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman did not mention poverty, unemployment and inequality in the budget. Not even once did he mention unemployment. Taking pity, he used the word poor twice in his speech. People will definitely know who the government cares about and who it doesn’t.
The poor, youth, tax payers and housewives have not benefited from this budget. The central government is determined to introduce the new tax system. Only a few choose it for many reasons. The new tax regime will affect ordinary taxpayers. Only the old tax system will work.
