The first phase will be completed by 2024
The authorities aim to complete the first phase of the project by 2024 with an investment of Rs 50,000 crore. The carbon-free city, which will be built partially floating on the Red Sea, will be 200 meters wide and 170 kilometers long. The Saudi Crown Prince’s dream project, the Neom City project, is emerging in the northwestern province of Tabuk. The Neom City project was launched in Saudi Arabia in 2017 with the aim of developing the country as a non-oil economic power.
The Line has released the outline of the city
The Line is the flagship project that is part of the Neom City project. The outline and details of this were released by the Saudi crown prince the other day. The line is designed in a design that is not available anywhere else in the world. The 170 km long city on the coast of Aqaba in Saudi Arabia will be built on land and sea and will run entirely on green energy. As the area where Neom City is being built is an area with a lot of biological diversity and ecological speciality, the city will be prepared only with a width of 200 meters to avoid major damage to the nature.
It takes 20 minutes to cover 170 km
There is a bullet train service that takes 20 minutes from one end of the city to the other. All vehicles within the city are powered by renewable energy. The Line is a carbon-free city that uses only solar and wind power. The 200 meter wide city will have glass on both sides. Facilities are arranged here in such a way that everything is available at a distance of only five minutes from the place of residence. Another feature of Neom City is pleasant weather at all times.
Employment for 3.8 lakh people
An investment of 50,000 crore dollars is estimated for the project. Out of this, 20,000 crores will be directly invested by the Saudi Investment Fund under the Saudi government. The rest will be found through investment. It is estimated that 3.8 lakh people can be employed by 2030. Neom’s population is estimated to rise to 12 lakh by 2030. By 2045, it will become 90 lakhs, the Saudi crown prince said. All facilities like schools, hospitals, shopping malls, entertainment centers, sports facilities etc. will be prepared here. Neom City is planned in the areas that share the border with the countries of Jordan and Egypt.
