The Cycling Federation has signed a new sponsorship agreement with Nokia Mobile Phones, through which the company will sponsor amateur racing until the end of the current season. This was done during the press conference to announce the agreement, and was attended by the Secretary-General of the Federation, Yasser Al-Doukhi, and by the Nokia Mobile Phone Company, Samer Qablawi, and Kamal Balut.
Yasser Al-Doukhi confirmed that “Nokia is one of the large companies operating within the country, and the federation has reached an agreement with the company for financial sponsorship of amateur races, until the end of the current season”, provided that there will be a new agreement at the beginning of next season. He pointed out that the company was keen to be with the Federation in the races, after the great successes of the races, and the large number of people participating in local races.
He said: «We are pleased with the development of such partnerships, and this will develop the work system in the Cycling Federation by bringing the private sector and companies and working together to develop the game that has become more popular, developed and competitive during the past years, and indicated that the Federation will continue to develop its plans, in the interest of the interest of National teams, league races and clubs, which are an essential tributary of all stages and senior teams.
• The agreement includes sponsoring amateur races, provided that there will be another sponsorship at the start of the next season.
