New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Northeast India’s first Vande Bharat train on April 14.
In 2019, the Ministry of Railways launched a state-of-the-art express train named ‘Vande Bharat Express’ manufactured at Chennai Perambur ICF. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched its first service between New Delhi and Varanasi in 2019. There are currently 10 Vande Bharat trains operating across the country.
In this case, a senior official said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate Northeast India’s first Vande Bharat train on April 14.
The train will connect Guwahati in Assam and New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. The North East Frontier Railway has already started preparations for the grand launch of India’s high-speed train in this region.
According to a senior official of the central government, “It is true that the Vande Bharat Express will be launched soon in the Northeast. We are planning to run this special train when Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Guwahati on April 14,” he said.
The Prime Minister, during his visit, is scheduled to witness the Bihu performance of 11,140 dancers and drummers. The event is set to be held in an attempt to enter the Guinness World Records as the grandest performance of folk dance.
