Lucknow, Voting is going on in full swing on 10 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. There are many villages or localities in these voting districts where elections are being boycotted. The administration is busy convincing these people. Basantpur village in Sahaswan assembly constituency of Badaun parliamentary constituency is such where not a single vote was cast till 10:00 am.
Villagers have boycotted the elections in protest against the non-construction of a road in Dhoranpur village of Bisauli assembly of Badaun district. Munsia is boycotting rural elections due to electricity problem in Nagla village. Elections have also been boycotted in many other villages of Bisauli assembly. People of Sukatiya and Harnam Nagla villages have also boycotted the elections, angry over the non-construction of the road. Voting has been boycotted in Rampur village of Aligarh-Chharra assembly district. Villagers allege that no development work has been done in the area.
Villagers in Nagla Budhua village of Sirsaganj area of Firozabad district have announced election boycott. The villagers have united regarding the problems of the village, due to which the booth remained vacant. None of the villagers voted. The administration is busy convincing the villagers.
Villagers say that there is a problem of electricity here for the last several years. No public representative or administrative officer is paying attention to this. Apart from this, elections have also been boycotted in many other villages of Bisauli Assembly. Talking about Sahaswan Assembly, the people of Sukatiya and Harnam Nagla villages have also boycotted the elections, angry over the non-construction of the road. However, the district administration is trying to convince the boycotting voters to vote. Now what remains to be seen is how much time does the district administration take to convince the angry voters and start voting.
