Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee has issued new recommendations as part of tightening precautionary measures to protect public health. From December 27 (Monday), the Emirate will have restrictions on gatherings, gatherings and closed-door celebrations.

The maximum number of people who can attend weddings, cultural events and family gatherings is limited to 60%. The number of people attending events in closed rooms should not exceed 50. Only 150 people can attend outdoor activities and 50 people can attend indoor events.

Attendance at public events is only possible if you follow precautionary measures, including the Al Hosn Apple Green Pass, a 48-hour PCR negative test result, and social distance and wearing a mask.

Increase screening and monitoring among the people in the Emirate to ensure compliance with all preventive measures and to maintain a low covid infection rate in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The committee urged the public to follow precautionary measures, including avoiding crowds, wearing masks covering the mouth and nose, keeping a physical distance of 2 meters, and washing and disinfecting regularly. The committee recommended that the booster vaccine dose be taken and that the Al Hosn apple maintain its green status through regular PCR testing.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi International Airport authorities have imposed new restrictions on the airport as the number of passengers has increased. The number of passengers arriving at the airport during Christmas and New Year will increase by 400 per cent. It is estimated that between December 22 and January 2, about 32,000 passengers and 102 aircraft will pass through Abu Dhabi Airport. Abu Dhabi Airport officials made the announcement yesterday. The new figure is four times the number of 8,400 passengers and 56 aircraft during the same period last year.
