Why did Oasis break up?
Oasis, widely regarded as one of the UK’s most important bands of the past 30 years, officially disbanded in 2009 following a series of disagreements between the Gallagher brothers. The split occurred after a heated argument before their performance at the Rock en Seine music festival in Paris. Noel Gallagher, the band’s main songwriter, announced his departure from the group shortly after, citing irreconcilable differences with his brother Liam.
Since then, the two brothers have gone their separate ways in music, with Noel forming the band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, and Liam launching his solo career. Finally, after 15 years, the differences seem to have been overcome, allowing for this long-awaited return to the stage.
