Melbourne: Australian cricket team has toured India. The Indian team won the first two matches of the 4-Test series between the two teams. With this, the Indian team takes a 2-0 lead in the series. The 3rd match starts on 1st in Indore. The next Test match will be held on the 9th in Ahmedabad.
The Test series is followed by a 3-match ODI series between India and Australia. The first match will be held on March 17 in Mumbai. The 2nd match will be played on 19th at Visakhapatnam and the last and 3rd match will be played on 22nd at Chennai’s Chepakkam ground.
Squad of 16: The Australian Cricket Board announced the 16-member Australian squad for this series yesterday. All-rounders Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh and fast bowler Jay Richardson are back in the squad. Pat Cummins, David Warner and Ashton Agar are also in the squad.
Pat Cummins made a hasty return to Sydney for reasons of his own with the 2nd Test ending in Delhi. David Warner was ruled out of the last two Tests due to an elbow injury. Meanwhile, Ashton Agar has been cleared to participate in domestic cricket matches. Among them, Pat Cummins is expected to join the squad ahead of the 3rd Test in Indore starting on March 1.
Maxwell and Marsh underwent surgery for leg injuries. Both last played for Australia in November last year. He has now recovered from his injury and is back to full fitness.
