Odisha: Bus fires, passenger alert .. a major accident missed in the narrows

A moving bus caught fire in Odisha. An RTC bus bound for Odisha was traveling from Raigad district headquarters to Dandabad in Koraput district on Sunday night. As the bus was approaching Narayanapatnam in Koraput district, a fire broke out in a bus in a forest area. When the driver stopped the bus, the passengers jumped out and ran away from there.

Within minutes the fire spread to the bus .. completely burning before the eyes of the passengers. Passengers recorded scenes of some of the buses burning in the blaze on their mobiles. Firefighters rushed to the scene and put out the blaze. Everyone in the accident breathed a sigh of relief as they emerged safely.

Passengers were taken on another bus from there after the bus caught fire. The accident took place in a forest area and was suspected to be a Maoist-affected area. But was found to have accidentally caught fire. The cause of the fire in the bus is being investigated. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
