Nagari MLA RK Roja was hit by National Highway officials. He complained to the authorities that the National Highway in the city was bad. In response, the NHAI project director and staff arrived in the city today. Rs 1.20 crore has been sanctioned for patch work. MLA Roza inspected the damaged roads. NHAI project director Janak Kumar and a team of officers walked to the half-stopped bridge in Puttur and observed the situation. Roja said that plants should not be planted in the dividers in the middle of the road. Gardening should be done. Safety boards should be set up on both sides of the road. Similarly, MLA Roja asked the NHAI officials to set up a circle near Kadirimangalam near Padiredu and complete the double road works there immediately. The unfinished bridge near Padiredu was demanded to be worked on. Responding to this, NHAI officials said that Rs 1.20 crore has been sanctioned for patch work and work will start by the 20th of this month. “We have sent proposals worth Rs 153 crore for the construction of pending works at Mallavaram, Renigunta, Padiredu and Puthur Parameswara Mangalam and bridges. All these will be started within three months,” he said.
