The Qatar Football Association announced, on Monday, that it had signed a contract with Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz to train the first team.
The Qatar Federation stated on its Facebook page that the Portuguese Queiroz is the coach of Al-Annabi. All the best to the coach with the Qatari team battalion.
Spain’s Felix Sanchez left the national team after his contract expired in December, following Qatar’s first participation in the World Cup when it hosted the finals.
The national team was eliminated from the group stage with three defeats, and scored one goal, which was against Senegal.
