Thiruvananthapuram: The Palm Leaf Suvadi Museum has been started in Thiruvananthapuram at a cost of Rs.3 crore by the Department of Documentation, Government of Kerala. It is the world’s first palm frond museum.
The palm leaf prints are displayed under 8 categories including Land-People, War-Peace, Education-Health, Economy, Art-Literature, Written History of Kerala and Administration. The museum has more than 1.5 crore leaf prints in languages including Malayalam and Tamil.
