The closing ceremony witnessed the coronation of the winners, a member of the club’s board of directors, head of the technical staff, Othman Musa, the club’s executive director, Muhammad Al-Husseini, and a large gathering of players and game lovers.
The “Old Fox” team came first with 19 points, with eight wins and three draws, represented by the great Moldovan international professor Viorel Iordachescu and the Moroccan international professor Mukhlis Al-Adnani, followed by the “Zayed Al-Khair” team with 18 points, represented by the Egyptian international professor Basem Amin and his compatriot the international great professor Ahmed Adly.
The “Signature Chess Ultimate” team came third with 17 points, represented by the Tajik masters Farouk Amantov and Ernesto Anarkiyev, and in the fourth place came the “Fujairah Masters” team, which was represented by the coach of the Fujairah Chess Club, the great international Serbian master Igo Miladinovic and the elected player, the International Federation Professor Ammar Al-Sidrani.
The Organizing Committee allocated special prizes for the best participating teams in the tournament, as the “Al-Kaabi Family” team, consisting of Salem Ahmed and his sister Anoud Ahmed, won the category of the best family team. The DXDubai One team won the best team award from the Dubai Chess Club, represented by international master Saeed Ishaq and international federation professor Othman Musa. The “Let’s Go Kids” team won the award for the best junior team under 16 years old, represented by Arnab Gina and Sahil Saxena.
