Oman national team coach, Rashid Jaber, summoned 31 players to enter a preparatory camp yesterday, before participating in the Gulf Football Cup (Gulf 26), which Kuwait will host between December 21 and January 3.
The Omani national team camp will witness a friendly match with Yemen in Muscat next Monday.
Oman will play the opening match of the tournament against Kuwait on the 21st of this month in Group A at Jaber International Stadium.
Three days later, it will meet Qatar at the Jaber Mubarak Al Sabah Stadium, before concluding the group stage by facing the Emirates on December 27 at the same stadium.
The second group includes the defending champion Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen.
Oman won the title twice, in 2009 on home soil and 2017 in Kuwait.
