Oman night travel ban; New instructions for those going to the airport

Muscat: The Airport Authority of Oman has issued a notice for passengers on the current night ban in Oman. Permission will be granted to travel from the airport to the residence and back. Air travelers are not required to arrive at the airport earlier than usual.

No one will be allowed into the departure hall before it is too late. Oman Air told passengers that the flight schedule had not been changed and that officials should keep a print or digital copy of the ticket on hand to present if requested.

Earlier, the Royal Oman Police said in a statement that one more person could accompany him on the journey to and from the airport. The airport company and the Royal Oman Police have made arrangements for the departure of passengers to and from the airport during the lockdown. The night curfew came into effect on March 28. The ban lasts from eight at night to five in the morning. The ban will remain in place for ten days until April 8. The Supreme Committee has decided to suspend all sports activities in Oman as part of controlling the spread of Kovid. This will include government and private sports events held in various governorates. Sports activities will not be allowed on artificial turf or in gyms, officials said. The apex court said the restrictions would remain in place until further notice.
