‘Omicron’ causing lock-in … Lockdown in that village in Telangana

A lockdown was imposed in the village of Goodem, where a recent omicran case was registered in the Sirisilla district. The young man, who had just returned from Dubai a few days ago, was diagnosed with Omicron and tested positive for both of their family members. The vigilant gram panchayat administration imposed a lockdown.

A 26-year-old man from Goodem village, Mustabad zone, Rajanna Sirisilla district, returned from Dubai on December 16. While doing tests at Hyderabad airport .. it came out as negative. But when Sonthuru came, he showed slight symptoms like cold and Kovid did tests and it turned out to be positive. Confirmed as an omicron in genome sequencing.

Authorities were alerted and rushed the youth to Hyderabad for treatment. Afterwards, corona tests were done on the young man’s primary contacts. The young man’s mother and wife were diagnosed with corona positive. The Gram Panchayat administration locked the village for ten days. Restrictions were imposed so that no one could come out of the houses.

The man, who was returning from Dubai, contacted six family members and seven other outsiders. With this they all were sent into the quarantine. Two of them turned out to be positive. If it is officially confirmed that they are infected with the Omicron variant .. This is going to be the first local transmission case of Omicron outside Hyderabad in Telangana. A doctor who recently treated a person infected with Omicron in Hyderabad also came to know about the case.
