Three accidents occurred in the Omsk region on the Omsk-Tyumen federal highway due to poor visibility. This was reported on Tuesday, September 13, in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
Four people were reportedly injured in the clashes. After that, it was decided to suspend traffic on the highway.
“The passage of vehicles is provided by the crews of the road patrol service on the left side of the road from the city of Tyumen,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
It is known that the first accident occurred when the truck crashed into a Toyota RAV4. The passenger in the car was injured. Later, a DAF truck drove into a passing heavy truck. The truck driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital. The third accident happened in the Krutinsky district, where a Chevrolet Aveo collided with a UAZ “Patriot” – as a result, a child born in 2018 was injured, he was taken to the hospital.
The reasons for the unfavorable situation on the road are not specified, but earlier in these areas traffic was repeatedly restricted due to smoke from a smoldering peat bog.
The day before, in the Bogotolsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as a result of an accident involving two trucks, the driver of a VAZ was injured and was hospitalized.
The accident occurred on September 12 at the 612th kilometer of the R-255 Siberia highway. The driver of the VAZ-2107 did not provide an advantage and crashed into a Volvo truck. From the impact, the heavy truck drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a second Volvo truck.
