“There is a ‘statistically significant association’ between pickled vegetable consumption and squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus. Esophageal cancer affects the esophagus, the esophagus between the mouth and stomach. It ranks 14th among the most common types of cancer in adults, ”the specialist told the MedikForum portal on June 19.
According to the oncologist, the regular use of such preservation increases the risk of malignant tumors by almost two times.
