One Adani Share; Investment Is Few LIC And Mutual Funds

The share holding figures for the new financial year have become available. The share holding pattern of highly rated companies is often helpful for retail investors. The latest news is that Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and mutual fund houses have reduced their stake in Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone. According to the shareholding data of Adani Ports, mutual funds have reduced stake holdings. The holding decreased to 3.09 percent from 4.43 percent in the last January-March quarter. LIC’s shareholding declined from 9.14% to 9.12% during the same period.

Mutual fund share holding in Adani Ports
Mutual funds held 6,67,29,749 shares of Adani Ports in the last January-March quarter. This is a participation of 3.09% of the total paid up capital of the company.

In the October-December quarter of 2022, mutual funds held 9,56,91,283 shares. This was 4.43% of the total paid up capital of the company. That is, in the quarter ended March last, mutual funds sold 2,89,61,534 Adani Ports shares or 1.34% stake.

LIC shareholding in Adani Ports
LIC held 19,70,26,194 shares of Adani Ports in the last January-March quarter. This is a participation of 9.12% of the total paid up capital of the company.

In the October-December quarter of 2022, LIC held 19,75,26,194 shares. This was 9.14% of the total paid up capital of the company. That is, in the quarter ended last March, LIC sold 5 lakh Adani Ports shares or 0.02% stake.

After the Hindenburg report came out in January, LIC’s investment in Adani Group shares was criticized. But it is also noteworthy that currently LIC has reduced its shareholding to only 0.02%.
