He said that Telangana was one of the states where 100 per cent first dose vaccination was completed and the target could be achieved due to the efforts of the medical staff. From the beginning, the CM said, KCR has been paying special attention to vaccination. He said he himself had guided the collectors. Asha explained that the workers and ANMs went door to door and vaccinated. Panchayati Raj and Municipal Departments have been involved in vaccination. He said that this was possible with the cooperation of every single department in the government. He wished everyone well.
Harish said 100% of the first dose and 66% of the second dose were completed in the state. The national average is 90 percent for the first dose and 63 percent for the second dose. That is, the state of Telangana is ahead of the national average, he said. He said 87 per cent of vaccinations were done in government vaccine centers in the state and 13 per cent in private ones. Currently, there is no shortage of vaccines in the state and 30 lakh doses are in stock.
Arrangements are being made to vaccinate those aged 15 to 18 from January 3 and those aged 60 to 60 from January 10, Harish said. Vaccination will be started first in Hyderabad as well as in the municipalities in PHCs and then in the level hospital. After that it will be given at the village level. However, municipalities must register with the Covin portal for the vaccine, he said. The minister said there were 7,970 vaccination teams working across the state.
