Minister Amarnath said that AP is the state with the largest sea coast in the country. He said that the work related to the development of ports is going on fast. AP has been number one in ease of doing business for three years. It is stated that for the first time the Global Investors Summit is being held in the state. The resources, infrastructure and facilities in the state will be explained in the summit. He said that 8 percent of the country’s exports are from Andhra Pradesh state. He said that 3 out of 11 industrial corridors in the country are in AP. He said that 48 thousand acres of land is ready to be allocated for industries.
Minister Amarnath said that the government intends to establish 3 concentration cities in the IT and electronic sector in Visakhapatnam, Anantapur and Tirupati. He said that a decision has been taken in the cabinet to develop a new IT park on 100 acres for the newly constructed Bhogapuram International Airport. CM Jagan has recently issued orders to build a startup tower with 3 lakh SFT. He said that construction works related to this will be taken up soon. He said that he is proud to say that one mobile phone is manufactured every second in Andhra Pradesh.
Further, through AP Maritime Board Rs. Minister Amarnath said that ports and fishing harbors are being developed with 15 thousand crores. He said that the industrial sector is developing in the state with 10 ports and 9 fishing harbors. He said that port-based industries will be developed in connection with each port. Andhra Pradesh is number 1 in coconut exports in food processing. He said that he has focused on the food processing industries related to papaya, tomato and mango. He has focused on the textile sector which provides more jobs.
