One person was injured in the collapse of scaffolding in the center of Moscow, a source told Izvestia.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 8, in Leontievsky Lane. Scaffolding collapsed near a 19th-century mansion under renovation.
The victim is a construction worker, 28-year-old Pakhedzhan Karorov. According to preliminary information, the man was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, a fracture of the right foot and bruises.
According to the Moscow prosecutor’s office, the victim was hospitalized. The incident took control.
“The establishment of all the circumstances and causes of the incident, as well as the adoption of a procedural decision on this fact, is under the control of the prosecutor’s office of the Central Administrative District,” the prosecutor’s office in the capital said.
In February, scaffolding collapsed in Georgievsky Lane in the center of Moscow, opposite the State Duma building. Then as a result of the incident no one was injured, only cars parked nearby were damaged.
