One person has been killed, while police are searching for another after a shooting in the southern French city of Nice, the Nice Matin newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The local police in Nice reported that they are currently carrying out a security operation to search for the shooter, but returned to deny this account.
Later, the French police said that “the shooting in Nice was criminal, not terrorist.”
“The shooting incident in Nice was caused by a policeman during a raid,” French police said.
