New Delhi. In view of the assembly elections in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has seriously accused the BJP of hatching a conspiracy to cut real votes. In the press conference here on Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal said that BJP is cutting votes in Delhi, a conspiracy is being hatched to cut the votes of real voters.
He said that their (BJP’s) ‘Operation Lotus’ is going on since December 15 in my New Delhi assembly constituency. He said that in these 15 days, he has applied to remove about five thousand votes from the list and to add 7500 votes. Kejriwal further said that for your information, let me tell you that the total number of votes in my assembly is 1 lakh 6 thousand. Out of this, they are getting 5 percent votes deducted and 7.5 percent votes being added, then what is the need to hold elections. If these 12 percent votes are diverted from one place to another, then what is left in the elections? In one assembly alone, 11 thousand votes were cast.
Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) said that a kind of game is going on in the name of elections in the country. Kejriwal has written a letter to the election officer expressing concern over the unusual increase in voter applications. Kejriwal said that BJP wants to win the elections by fighting the elections dishonestly by any means, but the people of Delhi will not allow this to happen. We will not let them win here by adopting the tactics used in Haryana and Maharashtra assembly elections.
Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) said that the survey was conducted in Delhi from 20th August to 20th October. This means that the Election Commission conducts door-to-door review, deletes the names of those who are not voters, adds the names of those who are not and then makes their voter cards. He said that when we verified the complaints regarding deletion of names, we found that 490 people live at home.
