The Oryol region received 29 new school buses and three ambulances. The presentation of the technology took place in front of the regional administration on September 15 with the participation of the governor Andrey Klychkov.
The vehicles will be handed over to educational and healthcare institutions in the near future. The schools will receive GAZ and PAZ buses. It is known about ambulances that they are equipped with modern equipment, writes InfoOrel.ru.
“Modern reanimation vehicles, ambulances, new vehicles for delivering medical workers to calls to patients regularly arrive in our region, including – we have presented them several times already this year. Three more ambulances have arrived in the region today. But the biggest gift at the beginning of the new academic year will be given to our education system – 29 school buses, ”said the head of the region.
Today, there are 389 school routes in the Oryol region, 242 buses run daily on them. Transport delivers about 6 thousand children to the places of study. The new buses will start operating in November.
On September 6, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers, announced that the Russian authorities would annually allocate 10 billion rubles from the budget for the purchase of school buses and 6 billion rubles each for the purchase of cars for the ambulance service.
On September 1, children’s ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova said that the Russian authorities have allocated 15 billion rubles for the purchase of new school buses. Kuznetsova noted that the transportation of schoolchildren by buses must be safe. According to her, this also applies to the training of drivers and medical examinations.
