- Varalakshmi Sarathkumar at the ‘Nandi’ Success Meet
Speaking at the Success Meet, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar said, “Usually when I speak, the flow comes easily. But, not now. First of all many thanks to all of you. I have been in the Tamil industry for nine years. I really did not get so much love there. It feels so emotional and awesome to me. Thanks to all the producers, directors and writers who respect the talent here. Many people there told me that if you go to the Telugu industry, you will be looked after like a queen. That came true once again in my case.
Thanks to all the audience who made the movie ‘Nandi’ such a big hit. I am also very happy to be a part of the Telugu industry. Again, congratulations to everyone on the ‘Nandi’ team. Vijay Vision came true today. Satish still needs to grow as a big producer. I actually didn’t see the movie even though it was spoken at the pre-release event. I only saw my dubbing scenes. I saw the show in Chennai last night. My mother cried when I saw the Tamil movie ‘Tarai Tappattai’. I cried when I saw ‘Nandi’ again yesterday.
The audience was very connected with the character of Surya Prakash. I was very happy to see my performance after a long time. Thanks to Vijay for choosing me for the first role. Many thanks to Charan and cinematographer Sidhu for the wonderful background music. Those who have seen the film in Chennai say that the courtroom scenes are not cinematic. Thanks to Brahma Kadali in this regard. No one can do the first scene in the movie like Naresh. It is very difficult to do so. I am not usually emotional .. but, Naresh made me cry ” he said.
