During the months of July and August, working in open spaces is prohibited from 12 noon to 4 pm. Many companies do not follow this and employ workers. That is why the authorities came out with the inspection. During the inspection with the officials, Labor Minister Bahten asked the supervisors for an explanation of the measures taken at the workplaces.

Sunburn can cause many health problems. Bahten authorities have come up with such a condition to protect the workers from health problems. The Ministry of Labor had already warned that the law should be strictly implemented. As part of this, inspections were conducted in many parts of the country since July. So far only 16 workplaces have reported violations. Action has also been taken against 27 workers for violating the law. The cases against them have been handed over to the prosecution for legal action.

Noon working ban is aimed not only at protecting workers but also at increasing productivity. It is intended to be implemented in a manner that does not disrupt the operations of the companies. The Minister said that the safety of the workers is important but the matter of the companies is also the first priority. Violation of noon work ban is punishable by imprisonment and fine. Imprisonment not exceeding three months or a fine of 500. 1000 dinars shall be punished.
