Prayagraj.Police and security agencies remained worried for hours on Friday on the information of bomb in Sector-18 of Mahakumbh. Bomb Disposal Squad investigated in Mahakumbh, but nothing was found anywhere. This call was made through a proxy server. The police remained busy till late night in tracing the caller. The incident occurred around 2 pm on Friday afternoon.
On the matter, DIG said that the accused will be caught soon. The sweeper had received a call that there was a bomb in Sector-18. Threatened with blast within a short time. The sweeper immediately informed the police. After this the bomb disposal squad was called. Teams of police, dog squad and bomb disposal squad conducted search operation in the area of Mahakumbh including Sector-18.
The search operation went on from 2 pm to midnight. However nothing was found anywhere. DIG Vaibhav Krishna said- The person giving threat on phone is being traced on the basis of number. He will be arrested soon. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are coming to the Kumbh area (Mahakumbh) today. On Friday, police officers were busy preparing for his arrival.

Meanwhile, a call from an unknown number came on the mobile phone of a Municipal Corporation sanitation worker named Navneet working in Mahakumbh Sector 18. The caller said that a bomb was planted in Sector 18. He became upset due to this and left the job and approached the department officials. When the information reached the police, there was panic among the officers. Immediately, the bomb disposal squad and AS check team along with alert security personnel were dispatched.
