The Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile began last week and will run until November 26th. There are 17 sports represented by 1,927 athletes from 33 countries.
Brazil seeks to maintain its dominant position in the Parapan medal table, a leadership that began in 2007, when Rio de Janeiro hosted the games.
In the Lima (Peru) edition, four years ago, Brazilian athletes achieved an impressive record of 308 podiums, including 124 gold medals.
