He said: “The insistence of the Knights of Will to raise the UAE flag high and fluttering in the largest international forums has always been a source of pride for us, and we are confident that their participation in the Paris Paralympic Games will write a bright new chapter in the history of Emirati sports.”
He added: “We, in turn, will continue to support and sponsor our champions with disabilities, so that their success is distinguished and sustainable on the international stage, and so that they continue to provide a model to be emulated to advance Emirati sports to new levels.”
The Minister inspected the facilities of the Athletes’ Village in Paris, and was assured that all means of comfort were provided to the UAE delegation. He also visited the International Paralympic Committee Athletes’ Council Elections Pavilion, which is being held throughout the days of the session, and Saif Al Nuaimi, a player on the UAE shooting team, is a candidate for its membership.
