Deepika Padukone acted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Pathan. While John Abraham appeared in a negative role, Salman Khan shone in a guest role. Being a Salman Khan starrer movie after about four years, there were huge expectations on Pathan before its release. Apart from that, the film received nationwide publicity due to the controversy that broke out when Deepika Padukone wore an amber colored bikini in the song ‘Besharam Rang’.
Due to the controversy over Pathan movie, the police have taken security measures in some problematic areas at the theaters on the release day. Locals say that they have not seen house full boards at theaters like this in Kashmir for the last few decades.
