Pay Rs.25 Lakh Per Month To Each Family.. AP Govt, Instructions To That Company

NGT has given key directions to AP Govt, Ambati Subbanna Oil Company. The owner of Subbanna Oil Company has ordered the state government to pay compensation of Rs.25 lakh per month to the families of the victims who died in the accident last month. At Ambati Subbanna Oil Company in Peddapuram Mandal, Kakinada District, seven workers died due to toxic gases.

The NGT bench conducted an inquiry into the incident and issued an order. The state government and oil company owners have ordered to pay compensation of Rs.25 lakh each to the families of Krishna Rao, Narasingrao, Sagar, Jagadish, Rama Rao, Bonjanna and Vijaya Durgaprasad who died in this accident through the district collector within a month. It has also directed the Director of Industrial Safety Department to take appropriate measures to prevent similar accidents from happening in the future. It suggested that the victims should be provided with the necessary legal assistance.

The collector announced that the state government would pay compensation of Rs.25 lakh each to the families of those who died in this accident. But the NGT reminded that they were not paid that money.. The company management said that they would pay some compensation. So far only Rs.50 thousand has been given to the affected families.
