Kashmir. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti released the party’s manifesto on Saturday. She has promised to try to return the special status of the Union Territory, Article 370 and 35A and to resume trade with Pakistan.
Mehbooba Mufti said that if our government is formed, we will remove the special powers given to the Armed Forces (AFSAPA), Anti-Terrorism Act (UAPA), Public Safety Act (PSA) and Enemy Act. She promised to give 2BHK houses to Kashmiri Pandits in the valley. On the other hand, speculations are being made that Congress may release the first list of candidates today. According to media reports, the party has finalized the names of 6 candidates so far.
On the question of support from Congress and National Conference, Mehbooba Mufti said- The alliance between the two parties is based on seat sharing, not on agenda. If both the parties accept our party’s agenda, then we are ready for alliance. We have only one agenda- solution of the problem of Jammu and Kashmir.
