New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has criticized that the Union Budget does not have the welfare of the people.
Speaking to reporters in this regard, he said, “People’s interest is not reflected in this budget. There is nothing in this budget for the poor. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in the last budget Rs. 73 thousand crore has been allocated. In this budget it has been reduced to Rs.60 thousand crores. Annually for small farmers Rs. 6,000 scheme funding has also been reduced. This deserves strong condemnation,” he said.
