After this rate hike, a liter of petrol in Shillong will reach Rs.96.83. Also, the price of diesel will be Rs.84.72 per liter. The Meghalaya Cabinet has approved the Second National Judicial Pay Commission to decide the pay patterns of judicial officers. Under this, along with allowances of all categories, post-retirement benefits will also be decided.
On the other hand, public sector oil marketing companies have not changed the prices of petrol and diesel for the last three months. Prices last changed on May 21 across the country. Fuel rates are fixed daily by Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation in accordance with international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates. If there are any changes in the prices of petrol and diesel, they will change by six o’clock in the morning.
