Hospitals have come up with a way to provide the Pfizer vaccine in addition to the Sinovax currently available free of charge. Pfizer Biotech is a vaccine that has been found to be more than 90 percent effective in combating the Delta and Delta Plus variants of Kovid. So far, it has been distributed only from government health centers.
However, only the first two doses are currently available free of charge from private hospitals. The third booster dose is not available here. Expatriates with a residence visa and Emirates ID will also receive this free vaccine. Also, expatriates with visa in Sharjah but residing in Dubai can get the vaccine from here. All they have to do is present their electricity bill or rental deed as proof that they live in Dubai. Those who need the vaccine must register in advance.
Aster Cedars Hospital in Jebel Ali, Dubai, was the first to announce that the Faser vaccine would be provided free of charge. Astor Cedars Hospital officials said the hospital is available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and that slots should be booked in advance for vaccination. Sulekha Hospital in Dubai also offers two doses of Pfizer Wax every 21 to 28 days. Sulekha Hospital officials said they would take advantage of the free vaccine if possible. More private hospitals are preparing to make the Pfizer vaccine available in the coming days, officials said.
