Philip Lamm, the former captain of the German national football team, believes that Paris Saint-Germain is “not a team” despite having many stars headed by Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
Lahm said in an article for Die Zeit newspaper on Wednesday that the French champions have great individual players such as Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar, but their performance as a team was poor.
So far, Paris Saint-Germain has not won the Champions League, as it bid farewell to the current version of the round of 16 against Bayern Munich without scoring any goal.
On the field, Lahm said that Saint-Germain is “not a team” as it plays without soul and offers the fans something that is gradually rejected.
And he added, “His players are among the most famous footballers on earth, and they have fans and followers around the world. But nothing out of the ordinary appeared in the two matches against Bayern Munich. Nothing to get excited about, nothing to want to be a part of.
And the 2014 World Cup champion concluded: You must feel sorry for the many Saint-Germain fans who traveled to Munich.
