Russian fighter Marif Piraev admitted that he was not satisfied with his work in the duel against the Portuguese Rodrigo Caporal. The fight between them took place on the night of April 22 as part of the REN TV Fight Club tournament.
He said that he was preparing all the time before the fight in Thailand, where the time difference with Moscow is four hours, so he felt tired in the ring due to the change in time zones. The lack of powerful energy and did not like the fighter.
“I am satisfied with the result, but in general, in terms of the fight, no. In Thailand, it is now 4-5 o’clock in the morning, I was already yawning in the locker room before going out, I wanted to drink coffee. There were no vimes when you go out energetic, I came out so imposing, sleepy. I set myself up, ”Piraev said after the fight.
Marif Piraev defeated Rodrigo Caporal in the third co-main bout of the REN TV Fight Club tournament. The judges unanimously gave the victory to the Russian.
Earlier, in November 2019, Caporal had already met Piraev in the ring. Then the judges gave the victory to the Portuguese. As the athlete stated, he does not mind if the opponent considers their fight a revenge.
