Desk. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of France on the last day of France. PM Modi reached Paris in France on 10 February. On Wednesday, PM Modi (PM Modi) inaugurated the Indian Consulate in Marsile, France. The embassy is jointly inaugurated by PM Modi and the President of France by Emmanuel Macron.
India is going to open a second consulate in France. This place is very important in terms of future projects of India. Marseli is a major entrance to trade between India and France due to its strategic position on the Mediterranean coast, it is one of the entry points of the Indo-Madhya Pradesh East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). The IMEC project was announced in New Delhi during the G20 summit 2023.
It will be helpful in increasing the Indian community in the south of France. Utkarsh, a member of Bharatiya Pravasi, said that the opening of the Indian Consulate here will be helpful for us as we currently have to go to Paris for passport renewal. This will also help the Indian community grow in the south of France.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inviting France companies, said that he should consider unlimited opportunities by being a part of India’s development saga. The Prime Minister told the French companies that this is the right time to invest in India. French President Emmanuel Macron also attended the 14th India-France CEO Forum in Paris along with Modi (PM Modi). In his address, Modi referred to the growing bilateral trade and economic cooperation between India and France and the encouragement of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
