Prime Minister Modi’s Speech: Prime Minister Modi’s speech at the inauguration of the helicopter factory: “I got the opportunity to lay the foundation stone for this factory in 2016. Then I laid the foundation stone with a determination. That commitment means that we should not depend on other countries for our security. This factory is an attempt to produce locally as much as possible what is needed for our army. This factory is an example of how efficiently the BJP can function if it is in power at the center and in the state.
Karnataka is a state full of talented and innovative youth. From drones to Tejas fighter jets, the world is watching Karnataka’s manufacturing prowess. The reason why Karnataka is the first choice of investors is because of the double engine government (BJP government at the center and in the state),” he said.
Factory Specialties: Asia’s largest helicopter factory is expected to produce light cargo helicopters first, followed by light combat helicopters.
It is also reported that helicopters used in war will be exported from here in future. It is reported that this factory will provide employment to 6 thousand people.
