New Delhi. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been given Kuwait’s highest honor “The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir”. This is the 20th international honor given to PM Modi by any country. The “Mubarak Al Kabir Order” is a special knighthood honor of Kuwait.
Actually, this honor is usually given to the head of a country, foreign rulers and members of the royal family as a symbol of friendship. Earlier this honor has been given to international leaders like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and George Bush. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi visited a labor camp in Kuwait on Saturday. PM Modi visited the Gulf Spike Labor Camp in Mina Abdullah area of Kuwait, where around 1,500 Indian nationals are employed. During this, PM Modi talked to the workers.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, PM Modi’s first program of the day shows how much importance India attaches to the welfare of Indian workers abroad. It is noteworthy that the Indian community is the largest expatriate community in Kuwait. Indians constitute 21 per cent (10 lakh) of Kuwait’s total population and 30 per cent (about 9 lakh) of the workforce. Earlier on December 21, PM Modi was given a warm welcome by the Indian community when he reached a hotel in Kuwait City on Saturday afternoon.
PM Modi has arrived here on his historic two-day visit at the invitation of Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kuwait on Saturday afternoon. He became the first Indian PM to visit the Gulf country in 43 years. PM Modi also said that he is confident that his visit will further strengthen the special relationship and bond of friendship between the people of India and Kuwait.
