The saffron factions feel that the current strength is not enough to come to power in the state and there is a need to gain more strength. In this order, a news has become viral on social media. In order to strengthen the party in Telangana and instill new enthusiasm among the activists, there is a campaign that Modi will contest from Telangana in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Kamalam circles are expecting that by contesting in Telangana, it will help the party to strengthen in the south as well.
It is being spread that there is a chance for Modi to contest from Mahbub Nagar Lok Sabha seat. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is said to have already conducted a secret survey on the effect of contesting from there. There are reports that opinions of people, leaders and activists have been taken. Dubbaka BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao posted on his official YouTube channel to justify this. A newspaper clip was shared saying that Modi is likely to contest from Mahbub Nagar. His post gives more strength to this news. BJP is also very strong in Mahbub Nagar. Earlier in the 1999 elections, Jitender Reddy contested and won from the Mahabubnagar parliamentary seat during the Vajpayee regime. Then in 2012, Ennam Srinivas Reddy won on behalf of BJP in the by-election for Mahbubnagar Assembly seat.
Also, in the 1984 Lok Sabha elections, in the 1998 by-elections, Jaipal Reddy won from the Mahabubnagar parliamentary seat on behalf of the Janata Party. In view of the BJP’s strength here, the Kashaya Dal hopes that by announcing earlier that Prime Minister Modi will contest, the party will benefit in the Assembly elections as well as the Parliament elections. Let’s wait and see how true this news is.
