On the day of voting, there was a clash between supporters of Samajwadi Party and AIMIM Party in Kakrauli village of Meerapur. After this, angry people blocked the road. When Kakrauli (Meerapur) police station in-charge Rajiv Sharma and police personnel tried to convince the people, the angry crowd started pelting stones at the police. During this time, the video of Kakrauli police station in-charge Rajeev Sharma showing a pistol to pacify the crowd also went viral on social media.
The police dispersed the crowd from there using mild force and did not allow law and order to deteriorate. He said that in this case, a case has been registered against 28 named and 100 to 120 unidentified people under sections 109, 115, 121, 125, 131, 132, 190, 191, 223, 351 and 352 of the Indian Penal Code. CCTV footage is being examined and eyewitnesses are being questioned. Appropriate action will be taken according to whatever facts come to light.
