Two teams have been formed from Delhi AIMS to search for the absconding prisoner from police custody. Two deputy jailers have been deployed in search of the prisoner. One team of the jail reached Baghpat to search for the prisoner and the other team reached Panipat. There is no trace of the prisoner yet. On the other hand, police have registered a case against the detainee at Delhi Hauz Khas police station. The Delhi Police team is also looking for the accused.
Delhi and UP police in search of captive
Jail Superintendent Amita Dubey said, two deputy jailers and several prisoner guards have been deployed to search for Arun Sharma, an absconding prisoner from AIMS Hospital. Delhi’s Hauz Khas police station has registered a case against the detainee.
Delhi Police also searched the captives in many areas. But nothing has been known about the prisoner yet. A team from the District Jail reached Arun Sharma’s house in Baghpat, but could not find him there. After this it came to know that Arun Sharma’s in-laws live in Panipat. That’s why another team has been sent there. There was no trace of Arun Sharma till late evening.

Jail Superintendent interrogated prisoner guard Aditya Som and PAC jawan Vivek Kaushik, who returned from Delhi. During interrogation, both the prisoners had gone to drink tea leaving Arun Sharma alone in the ward. The prisoner took advantage of which and escaped by dodging both the soldiers. It has come to the fore during interrogation that the ward boy of the hospital was asked to go to the detainee washroom. After which he did not return.

Police station Sadar Bazar Kotwali arrested Arun Sharma from Baghpat in the case of cheating and sent him to jail. The arrest took place on 9 February. The accused was lodged in jail since then. On February 21, he went to the Haridwar District Court of Uttarakhand to appear in a case.
When Arun was returning with the police after appearing. Then on the way he started vomiting. Senior Jail Superintendent Amita Dubey was informed.
Prisoner Arun Sharma was brought to the district jail and admitted to the hospital. The condition did not improve even after treatment. After that admitted to District Hospital and Medical College Pilkhani. But there was no improvement in his health.
Doctors referred him to Delhi AIIMS. On February 23, prisoner guard Aditya Som and PAC jawan Vivek Kaushik admitted prisoner Arun to Delhi AIIMS.
