Ponniyin Selvan 2 Review: Chola prince Arun Moli (also called Ponniyin Selvan by everyone), along with his friend Vallava Rayu, fights against enemies. At the same time the boat they are traveling in sinks. So everyone thinks they are dead. But a dumb woman saves them both. She looks like Nandini. After recovering from the accident, Ponniin Selvan is taking treatment in a Buddhist monastery in Nagapattinam. Arun goes through a lot of trouble while reaching Thanjavur to tell Maharaja Sundara Chola (Prakarash Raj) and Yuvarani Kundavi (Trisha) that Moli is alive. He gets caught by Pandya. They plan with Nandini (Aishwarya Rai) to kill Aditya Karikalu (Vikram), Arun Moli and Yuvarani Kundavila by the full moon.
Vallava Rayudu, who learns of Pandy’s plan, escapes with the help of Nambi (Jayaram) and meets Kundavi and tells the truth. On the same occasion, Nambi also meets Aditya Karikala and says that Ponniin Selvan is still alive. On the other hand, Aditya receives an invitation from Rammani Nandini to Kadambur. If he goes there, he will go out without listening to anyone who says that there is danger to his life. But for his promise to the young lady, Vallava Rayu follows Aditya without his knowledge. On the other hand, Madhurantaka and the state allies all wanted to take over the Chola Empire.
The Pandyas also reach Kadambaru fort to kill Aditya. Vallava Rayudu follows them. In the end Aditya, Arun Moli and Kundavila are all in danger. Who can get out of it? What is the truth she will finally know about Nandini’s past? Who is the dumb woman who saved Ponniin Selvan? If you want to know about these things, you have to watch the movie.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 Review: In PS1 (Ponniyin Selvan Part 1), Mani Ratnam concludes with the conflicts between the Chola Empire and the Pandya Empire, introducing the characters and introducing the main plot. This has increased everyone’s curiosity about PS2. What is Ponniin Selvan going to do? What is the secret of Nandini’s character has raised interest among all. Mani Ratnam gave clarity to all of them in PS2 and moved the story forward. Aishwarya Rai wants to kill Vikram, Jayam Ravi and Trisha with her followers, Karthi and Jayaram are trying to save them from that, at the same time going to Vikram’s fort to meet Aishwarya Rai.. Aishwarya Rai’s followers are there. On the other hand, the Pandyas entered the Chola Empire and wanted to kill the characters of Prakash Raj and Jayam Ravi. Mani Ratnam moved the story interestingly with the scenes. PS2 has clearly shown the real truths hidden behind deception, love, fights and murder plans.
As far as the actors are concerned, the dialogue between Vikram as Aditya Karikalu and Aishwarya Rai as Nandini in the pre-climax and the way the scene is shot are good. Long live the same movie. The doubts people had till then get clarity from that scene. Why did Nandini behave like that.. What was the reason for her birth? The subjects were shown well. How Ponniyin Selvan finally solved the problem. The director concludes the story of how the Chola Empire expanded.
Vikram as Aditya Karikala and Jayam Ravi as Ponniin Selvan. And while Karthi acted seriously in his role, he laughed with his own comedy timing. While Trisha was limited to a few scenes..Aishwarya Rai Part 2 impressed in terms of acting. Sarath Kumar, Parthipan, Jayaram, Kishore, Nazar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lakshmi have all done justice to their roles. Technically the film is impressive. Visual effects, sets, Rahman’s music, background music are good. The way the war scenes were shot in the movie was not that great.
