The driver of the Porsche Cayenne, who hit three pedestrians in Moscow on January 24, told his version of what happened, and also explained why he was hiding from the police.
The accident on Nizhnie Polya Street near house number 21 in Moscow occurred on January 24. The driver hit three pedestrians and then fled, leaving the Porsche running. The passenger fled with him. As a result, two downed pedestrians were taken to the hospital with numerous injuries.
The driver of the car managed to be detained on January 30 in Yaroslavl. According to him, the accident occurred after he left the car service, and the cause was an uncontrolled skid of the car.
“I came out of the repair, I changed the tire. At the traffic lights stood, just started. Kilometers 40, probably, the speed was. The car skidded, the scoreboard lit up. I couldn’t do anything. The car spun, I got out, I saw that I had hooked one person. I turn back and see that another girl is lying around, ”he said.
According to him, after the accident, he went to work and changed, as he was in slippers and a T-shirt. But he did not go to the police because of fear.
“I was waiting for the issue to be resolved, I was afraid,” the detainee emphasized.
Earlier it was reported that the police found the owner of the car. According to Izvestia, the car was registered to a 23-year-old girl who herself was not driving at the time of the accident. At the same time, her parents were not aware that their daughter owns a foreign car, the cost of which is about 1.5 million rubles.
In the past, this turbocharged Porsche Cayenne changed hands almost every year and got into accidents. He was also charged with speeding tickets.
