New Delhi: Delhi Police has registered 100 FIRs in connection with pasting of posters against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital and arrested 6 people in connection with it.
Anti-PM Modi posters were put up in various parts of Delhi with slogans like “Modi Hattao, Desh Bacho” (Remove Modi and save the country). In this regard, Special Commissioner of Police Dipendra Pathak said, “The police have registered 100 cases in connection with pasting posters spreading slanderous views against Prime Minister Narendra Modi across the city. Six people have been arrested in this regard.
Police intercepted a van leaving the AAP office and searched it. Objectionable posters were seized from the van. Those present were arrested. “Further investigation is being conducted in this matter,” he said. Police also said that cases have been registered under sections of the Press Act and Damage to Property Act.
However, no information was given regarding the press where these posters were printed and its owners. The Delhi Police is actively investigating the matter.
