The Gulf Football Association decided yesterday to postpone the final date of the Gulf Cup Championship “Gulf 26” to the fourth of next January, and the final match was scheduled to be held on the third of January.
The “Gulf 26” Championship account on the “X” platform stated that the Federation decided not to postpone the two semi-final matches, and to hold them on their scheduled time tomorrow.
The head of the Gulf Federation’s Competitions Committee, Khaled Al-Muqrin, said in statements reported by Al-Kas Sports Channels that there were “special” reasons that the committee was convinced of in order to take the postponement and confirmation decisions.
Al-Muqrin explained: “I am talking about the point of view of the Gulf Federation Competitions Committee, which decided that as long as the match was announced, it would remain on time.”
He confirmed the approval of all the federations of the teams that reached the semi-finals on the decisions.
The match between Kuwait and Bahrain will be held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, and Oman and Saudi Arabia will be held at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium in Kuwait.
Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium will host the final match.
