According to the police report, youths from Pamidipadu village of Korishapadu mandal of Prakasam district came to Ongole to buy an idol on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavita festival. After completing the work on the idol, the accident took place while returning to his hometown. He said that all three came on the same bike. When their two-wheeler reached Maddiralapadu, it lost control and hit a lorry parked on the side of the national highway. As a result, all three were seriously injured.
On receiving information about the accident, the police reached the spot. However, all three have already died. The police registered a case and recovered the dead bodies. They were taken to the government hospital for post-mortem. The youths who were trying to organize the Vinayakachavithi festival in a grand manner for a few days lost their lives in an accident, causing tragedy in the village. During the festival, their families were left with a lot of grief.
