Prakasam District: Theft Of Pension Money.. If The Police Inquire, This Is The Real Matter

In Yarragondapalem of Prakasam district, thieves have created a commotion. Fake currency was found in the social pension money provided by the government. The pensioners who found out about this, found it out. The volunteer says that there are 38 stolen notes.. All of them are 500 rupee notes. Narasayapalem Panchayat Secretary has drawn money from Yarragondapalem Bank for disbursement of pensions.

Cash was drawn as usual in Narasayapalem and brought to M. Amos, a volunteer from SC Colony. Amos distributed the cash to the beneficiaries on Sunday. In this order, Ruthamma, a woman who received a pension, found three Rs.500 notes to be fake. She brought the matter to the notice of the authorities. The officials were immediately alerted and checked the cash distributed so far with the beneficiaries.

Out of the money distributed by the volunteer, 38 of the Rs.500 notes were found to be fake. MPDO Rangasubbarayadu lodged a complaint with the police about this stolen banknote case. The volunteer who was booked first admitted the truth when questioned by the authorities. The authorities removed him from duty. Amos was taken into custody by the police. They are inquiring as to where the fake notes came from.
